The Counselor Trailer

Still there is no trailer released for this movie but as soon as it is released we will update it for the fans.

Back in January it was reported that Cormac McCarthy, author of books that would one day become movies such as No Country For Old Men and The Road, had sold his first spec script, titled The Counselor.

You might not expect to hear about such a project again for an extended period of time while it’s being developed and pieces are put into place, but instead the movie progresses rapidly. Ridley Scott has now committed himself to directing the film as his next project, and word is that he’d like Michael Fassbender, who will be seen in his Alien prequel, Prometheus, to star.

Scott is already talking to numerous stars for roles in the movie. The movie will follow a respectable lawyer who also dabbles lightly in the drug business, but ultimately finds himself fighting to survive a very bad situation.

From one A-lister to another. Cameron Diaz is in talks to join Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Brad Pitt in Ridley Scott's "The Counselor," in a role previously earmarked for Angelina Jolie.

If Jolie had starred in film, it would have been her first onscreen pairing with Pitt since "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005. She is busy preparing for "Maleficent," which could be the reason she wasn't able appear in "The Counselor." That film comes out in 2014.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may reunite on the silver screen in the Ridley Scott-directed flick, The Counselor.

Michael Fassbender is already locked into the project and now Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem are thisclose to joining as well.

Deadline reports that Angelina Jolie is in discussions to play the female lead, sexually charged femme fatale Malkina.

The Counselor, which will kick off production late June, follows an attorney (Fassbender), who is in search of a big payday after he proposes to his girlfriend, Laura.

What’s sad about this is that the headline above is likely to attract more attention to the upcoming crime-thriller The Counselor than the fact that it is the first script by award-winning author Cormac McCarthy – arguably one of the best American authors alive today. Just shows you where we’re at in our society…
